Designed by Larry Wood, the Airport Rescue truck debuted in the 1981 Hot Wheels Workhorses series. The model is based on the Oshkosh P-15 Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) Crash Truck.
According to HW Wiki, the Oshkosh P-15 was featured in the 1987 Guinness Book of World Records as the world's most powerful fire engine of the time.
This vehicle was also released in red color in France. This version is the most rare.
