I first unveiled this, my first 2011 Hero Factory MOC, in the YouTube video "Lego Hero Factory 2011 Exclusive: SPECTER 2.0." In that video I "reviewed" it like it was a set (without actually saying it was real), but finally said at the very end that it was a MOC. The video comments included folks who:
- Were completely duped and didn't watch the video to the end
- Commented about how badly they wanted the set before getting to the end of the video, then deleted their comments (but I already saw them!) and put up revisions
- Were completely duped but then saw in the comments that it was a MOC, and then went ahead and watched the video to the end and commented like they knew it was a MOC all along
- Realized the cues from the start that it was a MOC (relatively few)
Can't MOC with 2011 Hero Factory sets? Ha! Instead of following the obvious course of using the new parts in older Bionicle-styled creations, I've decided to go the easier route for awhile and see what can be built with 2011 style and theme by swapping parts, as Lego had hoped. As it turns out, there's a lot that can be done without even getting at all tricky with them! More to come. Many more.
