Una Merkel was funny in her movies --in which she usually played the "best friend" of the lead-- and in real life. In 1933, a fan wrote to her asking for a picture, but then he sent another letter saying:
"Do not send picture. Am moving and decided I don't want it."
Obviously Una had to say something, so she replied -ordered- to the indecisive fan:
"Picture is sent. You'll take it and like it"
Some of the movies I've seen from her are: "Evelyn Prentice" (she plays Myrna Loy's best friend), "42nd street" (she plays Ginger Rogers' best friend) and "Road to Zanzibar" (she plays Dorothy Lamour's best friend).
