Up and out the door at 6:35 but not walking yet.
It was a bit dark so I drove into town and parked by the town pond
and then started my morning walk.

Since I saved 2 miles driving to town I was able to walk the Farm Loop.
(Just a bit too far walking from home and back.)
A runner passed me along the Farm Loop.
Know him but not his name.
A little farther down the loop at Farmer Bill place
a couple of people were in the field picking beans out of his field.
By his barn in the pasture I noticed he had a couple of donkeys.
When they noticed me they came walking up to the gate and
this one stuck his head out and I gave him a pet.
He was very friendly.
Back on the main road here going into town.
Walked a loop around the ball park.
A couple was also walking there and another woman I see once in a while.
Near the pond parking lot is an apple tree and I picked up a half dozen
or so apples and brought them home for our deer.
As I was about to drive back home Kathy was just getting there
for her walk so we had a nice chat before I left for home.
Walked 6 miles

After hanging a load of wash out on the line and making macaroni salad
I went outside to help Ken.
Today's job was to cut down a couple of trees in the front
that had died.

A couple was also walking there and another woman I see once in a while.

or so apples and brought them home for our deer.
As I was about to drive back home Kathy was just getting there
for her walk so we had a nice chat before I left for home.

Today's job was to cut down a couple of trees in the front
that had died.

My job was to hold ropes and pull in the direction we wanted
the trees to fall. As soon as I felt the tree falling I RAN.
Then the clean up started. I put some of the branches on the natural fence.
Others went out back to use to burn in the fire pit.
Thank the good Lord all went well and both trees fell where
they were supposed to and our house is still intact.
Someone told us they were both wild black cherry trees.
Then it was time to sit on the front porch for a while.
I went inside and baked Blueberry Bread. (new recipe)
Recipe will be on my recipe blog in the next couple of days.
We roasted hot dogs out back for supper to go along with the
macaroni salad I made in the morning.
A evening of relaxation is planned.
